Trout fish are usually found in cool clear streams and lakes, and are normally found in Europe, northern Asia and all over North America.
You may also see trout in Australia and New Zealand too.
The trout fish have no spines at all, the fin is just totally spineless and trout have a fat fin near there tail.
There are many types of trout. You have the rainbow trout, brook trout, brown trout and the cutthroat trout just to name a few of them.
There is many types of trout populated around the world and are related to other types of trout from elsewhere but do not show the same resemblance due to the water conditions they live in.
Most of the trout you will see and catch are all freshwater trout but there is what or two other that are actually out in the ocean too. One of these types of trout is the steelhead trout. Now the steelhead trout is actually part of the same family as the rainbow trout.
The steelhead will only go back to land when it is time to spawn and then go back out to the ocean again after hatching.
Trout will generally feed on dipteral, mayfly and stonefly and others too, and some of the larger species of trout will feed on other fish like minnows.
Anglers love trout fishing due to the challenge the fish give when being caught. They will not bite into your bait and say come and pull me in. They will pull and sway and give you a good fight. This is why trout fishing is one of the major pastimes around the world.
Due to the popularity of trout fishing there is many trout farms and trout breeding areas around the world, where the trout will then be breed and put back into heavily fished waters to maintain a good level of fish for all.
The trout that are put into streams and lakes inland will have a green and brown coloration to them and the ones that are out at sea tend to be more silvery in appearance.
