Minette Bay Fishing Lodge specializes in heli-fishing excursions into BC’s remote backwaters. There, far from civilization, BC’s fish thrive and multiply, as though in anticipation of your arrival. The fishing lodge provides BC fishing licenses to its guests, along with rods and reels (though guests are, of course, free to bring their own equipment, if they choose). To prevent overfishing, the lodge permits only catch-and-release fishing. Minette Bay Lodge also leads river driftboat fishing trips, bear viewing hikes, and birdwatching excursions. Heli-hiking and heli-sightseeing tours are also available.

All excursions from the fishing lodge are accompanied by a guide with intimate knowledge of BC’s mountain rivers. You’ll have the benefit of years of BC fishing experience, all without ever having to open a book, and without having trek through the woods for months or years on end to gain the necessary knowledge firsthand.

The fishing lodge puts fisherman in close proximity to BC’s wide variety of wild fish. Species commonly caught by guests include Chinook, Steelhead, Coho, Trout, Chum, Sockeye, and Pinks. Minette Bay’s guides have intimate knowledge of the proper techniques for landing these beauties—guests need only ask, and they will be shown what to do.

Minette Bay Fishing Lodge is situated in a 75-acre plot of land in Northern BC, just ten minutes from Kitimat. Kitimat is a well-planned community with a vibrant relationship with the natural bounty that surrounds it. In winter, when fishing and hiking are no longer possible, residents enjoy cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The town has a population of over 11,000.
